DTF Wash & Care Instructions

Turn the garment inside-out before washing to reduce friction on the print. Wash in cold water rather than hot — heat can weaken the adhesive bond over time. Use a gentle cycle when possible.

Air-drying is the safest option for maximum longevity. If you use a dryer, use a low-heat setting, and keep the garment inside-out.

Don't iron directly on the print — if you need to iron the garment, do it inside-out or avoid the printed area entirely. Avoid harsh detergents with bleach, which can fade or damage the print. Don't dry-clean unless specifically advised.

DTF transfers are genuinely durable when cared for properly — most of the wear people see on printed apparel comes from high heat exposure, not the printing method itself. A few small habits go a long way toward keeping your design looking new.

Can I wash DTF-printed shirts with other laundry?

Yes, just follow the same cold-water, inside-out approach for the load.

Will the print crack over time?

Proper care (cold water, low heat) significantly reduces cracking risk over the life of the garment.

Can I dry clean a DTF-printed shirt?

We generally recommend standard washing over dry cleaning unless there's a specific reason — reach out if you're unsure about a specific garment.

Does this apply to vinyl prints too?

The same general principles (cold water, inside-out, avoid direct heat) apply well to vinyl prints as well.
